THURSDAY NIGHT RANKINGS....STEELERS VS TITANS

By FANTASYBOYZ Editor in Chief Corey Bugenhagen

This week's Thursday Night Football game brings us a match-up between teams going in opposite directions.  The Steelers pulled out a solid comeback win against their cross state rival Eagles.  While the Titans were blown out in a disastrous game against the Vikings.  There are quite a few legitimate starters in this game located almost entirely on the Steelers side of the page.  We love Big Ben, Mike Wallace and Antonio Brown as top end week 6 starters.  Rashard Mendenhaul is an intriguing option in 12 team leagues and higher.  He looked sharp in his first action of the season and you could easily do worse.   As for the Titans we don't feel there are any sure fire fantasy starters.  We would avoid Chris Johnson like the plague and Matt Hasslebeck looks like he could use a walker out there.

WAIVER WIRED.....WEEK 6

By FANTASYBOYZ Editor in Chief Corey Bugenhagen

OUR PICKUP OF THE WEEK
Unless you are in a 8 team league your waiver wire is getting pretty thin at this point.  With that being said there are always moves to make and players to grab off the scrap heap.  With some key injuries in Arizona and Tennessee there possible steals out there who could help you right away.  Please use the below list as a guide when perusing the waiver wire.  Our Pickup of the week happens to be William Powell.  WHO you may ask?  Well he is most likely the running back in Arizona who will carry the load for the foreseeable future with news that Ryan Williams is out for the season with surgery slated on his AC shoulder joint.

Ryan Tannehill - Owned in 5.4% of ESPN Leagues

While the young QB isn't exactly lighting things up yet we see the potential.  He has a strong arm and a quick release to go along with solid accuracy.  He is a guy that could be a solid backup down the stretch.

Worth a look in larger leagues

William Powell - Owned in .1% of ESPN Leagues

Our pickup of the week as Ryan Williams went down for the year and Beanie Wells is out until week 12.  Powell is easily first in line to be the feature back in Arizona for the near future.

Should be owned in all leagues

Jamie Harper - Owned in .1% of ESPN Leagues

With Javon Ringer likely out for the season and Chris Johnson playing horribly bad Harper is a sneaky add and could pay dividends down the line

Worth a look in Larger Leagues

Josh Gordon - Owned in .3% of ESPN Leagues

The talented Supplemental pick of the Browns received his first start last Sunday and produced with a long TD grab.  He could be just what strong armed Brandon Weeden needs to get a jump start on his season.

Should be owned in Larger Leagues

Devery Henderson - Owned in 1.7% of ESPN Leagues

Here comes Henderson yet again.  With Lance Moore and Jimmy Graham hindered by injuries Brees is looking back to his old stand by in Henderson.  With 8 grabs for 100+ yards and a TD Henderson should get increased targets at least for the short term

Should be owned in Larger Leagues

Domenik Hixon - Owned in 17.3% of ESPN Leagues

Hixon is now a starting wide receiver for the NY Giants until Hakeem Nicks returns from injury.  In the pass happy Giant offense you could do much worse than adding Hixon to your roster.

Should be owned in Larger Leagues

WEEK 5 TOP STARTS/SITS

By FANTASYBOYZ Editor in Chief Corey Bugenhagen

TOP START OF WEEK 5
While putting together your lineup one likes to have validation on their selections.  Many times an owner has multiple players worthy of a start, and in some cases even have similar matchups.  In these cases top starts lists really do help.  Please use the below as a guide when filling out your lineups Sunday.  Our Fantasy Start of the week in week 5 is none other than Matt Ryan.  He is lighting things up this season and we see that continuing against a weak Washington Redskins secondary.  While it seems the other QB in this matchup Robert Griffin is getting more hype, and somewhat deservedly so, Ryan has quietly put up top Fantasy QB numbers.

VIEW FROM 122...... BILLS VS 49ERS

By FANTASYBOYZ Editor in Chief Corey Bugenhagen

We have now had close to a week to digest what happened this past Sunday at Ralph Wilson Stadium.  The Patriots game started with such promise and ended with such disappointment, but such is the life of a Buffalo Bills fan.  Disappointments are the norm and something we should just expect.  The problem is with being a true Bills fan each week comes with optimism no matter the circumstance.  We can't help it as it is built into our DNA.  We love the Buffalo Bills no matter what.  I know I was sitting in section 122 early in the fourth quarter cursing everything around me wondering why I put myself through such heart ache and pain. Telling myself this is my last year for season tickets.   Then today I realized we have a big game tomorrow!!!  The Bills will surely beat the 49ers won't they?  Well probably not but I will break down what the Bills need to do to win.

ON OFFENSE

The Buffalo Bills will only succeed on offense if Ryan Fitzpatrick can find a way to cut down on the turnovers.  He does not have the arm, nor the accuracy, to be the risk taking Gunslinger that GM Buddy Nix calls him.  He needs to use that Harvard brain the media keeps forcing down our throats and make sound decisions out there.  If the throw is not there don't even attempt it.  This weeks match up is such a killer because the Bills most likely will not be able to rely on their strength, the running game, as San Fran is so stout up front.  The Bills need to make this a boring grind it out game.  Gailey needs to abandon his pop gun spread formations and get down and dirty.  Run the ball, use Stevie Johnson's ability to get open quick and work Chandler over the middle.  All this will need to be done without starting linemen Cordy Glenn and Craig Urbick.  Thankfully this year the Bills actually have line depth in Chris Hairston and Chad Rinehart ready to step right in.  The key for the Bills to have any chance this week is to make this game as boring as possible.

ON DEFENSE

Bills need Williams to be dominant Sunday
The Bills Defense was an absolute embarrassment last week.  They were shredded on the ground and through the air.  The made no adjustments and played a vanilla nickel package no matter how many plays were going for big yards over and over again.  Dave Wanndstet's defense lacks any threat of a blitz at this point.  While the 49ers aren't a prolific offense if they are shown a basic defense that makes no adjustments they have the ability and players to exploit that.  Vernon Davis will have a field day in this scenario and Frank Gore has to be licking his lips all week.   The Bills must take chances, the corner-backs must press, and the linebackers must Blitz early and often.

OUTLOOK

Flying across country to face one of the top teams in the league is almost an can't win scenario at this point.  The moon and the sun will need to be in alignment for the Bills to even have a chance Sunday.  With that being said these are the type of games the Bills come out of no where and make a game of it.  Still my prediction is not a good one.  I see the 49ers having an easy time of it to the tune of a 28-17 San Fran victory.
